Job Description

At Wolt, We currently serve over 14M+ registered users, and it takes some real serious work from our dedicated customer support teams in each of the 23 countries to ensure the satisfaction of those customers. So what's the LiveOps team do? The team primarily focuses on enabling brilliant customer support in all Wolt markets worldwide by building tools and efficient interfaces to reduce manual work and improve communications. The team develops core operation tools that boost the efficiency of day-to-day support. One such tool is real-time Situation Monitoring, which automatically finds and prioritizes issues based on many factors and thousands of ongoing orders. At LiveOps, we aim to eliminate inefficiencies and provide the best possible tools to automate common repetitive tasks that our support teams in 23 countries face every minute or even every second of the day. All of this helps our operations stay proactive and provide an excellent customer experience! 
 
You would join the team to work closely with the designer, product manager, and other engineers in the team. You will get a remarkable chance to improve our product, codebase, and existing ways of working as we are working in highly autonomous and self-organizing teams where the teams own the roadmap of the product and make the final decisions technology choices. You will contribute your ideas to the design and UX of various features. You get to do code reviews, bringing new ideas to the table, and provide comprehensive ownership for our frontend codebase. At Wolt, we work in a very collaborative manner and continuously share knowledge - we have product-wise product hours weekly, and teams and team members continually teach and mentor each other.

You can be based in one of our tech hubs Helsinki or Berlin or work fully remotely from anywhere in Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden, or Germany now and in the future!   Read more about our new remote set-up here.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong professional background in building frontend applications using Typescript (React) and delivering modern, testable and maintainable code. We commit to a user-centric approach and expect to find someone like-minded. 

Even though we are looking for a frontend developer,  the backend side experience using NodeJs and implementing and integrating API would be a huge advantage. Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or any other database and prior DevOps experience comes in handy but is not required. So there is an excellent opportunity to move across the stack and widen the scope of the role.
