The purpose of this position is to actively support the IFS Americas regional sales process by creatively solving technical problems, developing and presenting technical solution concepts, and demonstrating the value of the technology underpinning IFS enterprise software solutions. This includes applying technology and software development skills to configure IFS products to best match a prospect’s business requirements, and to demonstrate potential technical solutions in a creative and compelling manner with the objective of winning new business.
Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise in support of sales opportunities through advanced product configuration, product demonstrations and solution story lines. Supports the Presales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
Key Objectives (General)
As an IFS Technical Solution Consultant, you, together with the functional Business Solution Architects, play a vital role in generating significant sales revenue and gross margin for IFS. During the sales process with prospects and customers, your responsibilities are to work closely with Business Solution Architects by solving problems, developing bespoke configurations, technical enhancements, and prototype solutions to allow them to present the application software in the context and needs of the prospect, help them understand the solution capability, and convey how the application will benefit the customer. Working as a team, you play a key role in bringing in good, profitable business for IFS.
