A little bit about me…

My goal, my passion, is to help companies, expand globally in the simple and fastest way. As a global contractor consultant my role is to ensure that organizations can hire international talent legally, quickly, and easily.

Are you ready to be in the present of work?

Outside of work, I'm a digital nomad traveling around the world taking advantage of the remote work lifestyle. Also, you'll find me reading about wellness and nutrition, doing crossfit, training for a marathon, and connecting with friends and family.

What’s your profession, what do you do?

I'm a global consultant manager and I help companies to scale and expand by Simplifying compliance and payroll for global teams.

What company do you work for? Are you a freelancer or Digital Nomad?

Ontop, yes our company is 100% remote and I'm a digital nomad.

How did you start with a remote work journey?

I always dreamed about traveling  around the world but I was working for a traditional company in Colombia that didn't allow me to be a digital nomad. So in 2021 I started to say I want to be a remote worker, I want to travel around the world, I want to be in a company that is at the forefront of the world. I don't know if it was law of atraction or what, but my goal came true. Now I work for a company that is 100% remote and I love it!

What do you think are the main benefits of working remotely?

They are all: flexibility, you can manage your own time, you can meet a lot of people around the world, it opens to you many opportunities, It is awesome!

Do you think there are disadvantages or that you’re missing something by working remotely?

mmm no! There are not disadvantages if you take the best of all opportunities!

From what cities or countries have you worked since you have become remote? What are your favourite countries or cities to work from?

Barcelona, Cartagena, Medellin, Mexico, Miami... Barcelona was the best

From what type of places do you prefer to work? Home, co-working spaces, coffee shops, or others?

Some times in my home, some tiemes in co-working spaces and some times in coffe shops

What places would you like to travel to while working remotely?

Mexico, Bali, Holland, Spain, Australia

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them? Share your remote productivity, communication, management, etc. tips based on your experience!

Sometimes you have a lot of meetings since you can't go to the person face to face to say something quickly. But at my company we have some points clear that help us to be more efficient: 1. Always make problems and achievemnts visible, Honor your time, Prioritize excution before planning, Delive Magic, Enjoy your work, Discipline is the greatest driver of growth and be like water.

What tools do you use to improve productivity and manage work efficiently?

Notion, my notebook, slack, zoom

How do you manage your business and taxes as a remote working professional?

I do it myself.

What advice would you give to people looking to work remotely?

Don't overthink it too much, just jump in to the remote world
