DevOps Engineer

Infina is seeking a detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to utilize systems analysis knowledge, concepts, experiences, and techniques to develop new technology, modify the structure of existing software products and provide technical guidance to complex projects.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Understand and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process in a Java environment
• Apply computer science and systems analysis knowledge, concepts, and techniques to develop and apply information technology systems
• Help to modify the structure of existing software products and provide technical guidance to complex projects
• Review final draft documents for conformity and completeness
• Track preparation and status of deliverables
• Perform troubleshooting, report issues, and recommend solutions
• Develop technical solutions and design for environment set up, CI/CD, databases, etc. for each sprint
• Collaborate with customer to review software application requirements
• Communicate with the users to determine problems or design requirements
• Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently
• Perform risk analysis design, mock-up, document, unit testing, system testing, code review and support demonstration to User and deployment of Feature to Production
• Work collaboratively with team to receive and respond to project requests
• Responsible for GFE and ensuring that IDE tools are updated regularly
• Participate in Backlog grooms and lead a Feature: elaborating it to smaller user stories and present it to team during Backlog groom
• Participate and commit to the User Stories assigned in the Sprint
• Serve as Scrum Master on an as-needed basis

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least ten (10) years of DevOps experience with Java/J2EE and .Net based technologies; at least two (2) years of experience in a lead role
• Design, development and integration of the tools, automation, resolving bugs, monitoring, and maintaining dev/test/production environments
• Experience developing software requirements and design
• Excellent hands-on experience with System deployment automation, hardware/network infrastructure design, Linux/windows administration
• Hands on experience with:
  • Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Elastic Load Balancer, S3, Amazon ECS, Amazon RDS, Amazon Elastic Cache, Elastic Load Balancer, EBS, EFS, Glacier, etc.
  • DevOps and CI/CD tools integration - Shell scripting, Ansible, PowerShell, Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Eclipse, Hp Fortify, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible Tower, AWS Auto-Scaling, Containerization, Amazon CloudWatch, etc.
  • Oracle and PostgreSQL Database deployment and configuration
  • Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, Security Vulnerability, OS hardening, Windows and Linux OS tuning, storage configuration, AWS EBS, AWS EFS, S3, etc.
  • Apache Web server tuning and optimization, JBoss installation and configuration and IIS setup.
  • SSL/TLS, Manage Security Certs, Identity Management products, etc.
  • JBoss Application Server, Tomcat, Apache Web Server deployment and configuration.
  • Launch Windows and Linux AWS EC2 instances and configure OS as per On Prem legacy servers
  • Oracle Database Migration from On Prem environment to AWS Cloud and PostgreSQL Database.
  • Administering / managing Relational Database Management Systems, AWS cloud administration experience, Application security
  • Design, Development and integration of the tools, automation, resolving bugs, monitoring and maintaining dev/test/production environments
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Rest services environments such as RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Testing frameworks and tools such as Unit, Mockito, Karma and Protractor
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies and tools such as JIRA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance

• FAA processes and CDRLs delivery
• Java/JEE Development and Design experience
