Senior Tableau Developer

Job Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Tableau Developer to manage the life cycle of Tableau analytics dashboards, including business requirements gathering, functional specification write-up, prototyping, development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation. As a Tableau Developer, you should have a demonstrated ability to design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards using Tableau.  You possess the knowledge and experience to define data visualization best practices, with a focus on enhancing user interaction and user experience.  You also possess the analytical skills that turn dashboards into actionable insights for business teams.

Tableau Developer Responsibilities:

• Design and create data visualizations to support user stories.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for various business domains (marketing, sales, product management, and others) to understand business requirements and needs.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure data sources are accurate and current.
• Maintain Tableau ad-hoc interface for data end users.
• Build and publish interactive dashboards using Tableau Online.
• Collaborate with data management to test, clean, and standardized data to meet the business requirements.
• Have the confidence to work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas.
• Must have excellent verbal communications skills and documentation skills to maintain workflows and dashboard functionality.

Tableau Developer Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau, advanced and jedi level skills preferred
• 3+ years in UI, UX space (can be concurrent or overlap with Tableau experience) demonstrable with evidence of using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or white boarding to illustrate product usability.
• 2+ years analyzing and consuming Salesforce.com data for visualizations
• 2+ years’ experience working in business insights and intelligence
• Experience working with large and complex data set able to write simple queries to create calculated fields.
• Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.)
• Excellent oral, written skills and listening skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed.
• Agile experience preferred.

Compensation:

Scaled Agile is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $95,000- $115,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
