Job Description

We’re a growing team, and as we scale, so does our need for focus on growing our SaaS platform. As a Associate Solution Architect, you will: 

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to a group of technical resources during the implementation or subsequent enhancement of Vendavo software. Note that this is not a line management position, but you will have overall technical responsibility for the project delivery.
  • Act as the technical authority for the project, ensuring that technical issues are managed appropriately, either through project-level technical changes or working with product management and engineering groups to find core-product based solutions
  • Provide technical oversight and ensure that processes such as hardware sizing, performance tuning and integration testing are followed correctly.
  • Engage the customer IT to facilitate integration between Vendavo and the customer’s internal IT systems
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years progressive technical experience including: Object and data modeling; J2EE/Java and web-based application development (Java, JavaScript C#); Integration design and development using ETL tools, Web Services, SOAP, and middleware; XML and SQL; Oracle database and J2EE application server
  • Demonstrated large scale project management and implementation expertise for on premises and hosted software
  • Understanding of development methodology and actual experience writing functional and technical design specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and with large teams
  • Strong prior technical, development background in either Services or Engineering – min 1 year of hands on solution design experience; experience developing applications on top of platforms
  • ERP and platform configuration implementation experience (SAP, Siebel / Oracle, PeopleSoft, I2, etc.)
  • Comfortable with modern web based application technologies and be able to mentor and work with technical team members spread over multiple time zones
  • Knowledge of Oracle database and application server (JBoss, Weblogic, Netweaver, or Websphere) required
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex business and application problems; performance analysis a big plus
  • Supply chain management, CRM, or pricing experience is advantageous, SAP integration experience a plus
  • Ability to travel on average 40%
