The Events Vendor Manager is responsible for vendor acquisition, onboarding and account management, and auditing booked events. You will partner with specialty functions to leverage expertise across the organization all focused on growing the Events Marketplace within Postal. Your performance is based on specific metrics associated with the onboarding of vendors and new bookable experiences, product and program adoption amongst vendors, as well as customers, and customer retention/repeat events.
As the Vendor Manager, Events, you will be the day to day contact for all Event vendors. You will ensure that they have an optimal experience with our technology. Because the growth and management of our vendor network is integral to the success of our platform, developing and managing robust onboarding and management processes will be a requisite for future success.
Responsibilities
Master Postal technology and educate prospective and current vendors on the Postal technology and process to enable best business practices in a competitive landscape
Proactively and reactively engage new vendors in order to add them to our Event Marketplace
Welcome new vendors by conducting onboarding sessions for individual vendors and/or their teams, ensuring that each vendor and the users from that team are power users of the platform
Responsible for all vendor negotiations and agreements
Manage Event vendor relationships
Advocate for vendors within the Postal organization
Conduct Postal product and program trainings and meetings with vendors as needed
Partner with the Events Project Manager to ensure all events run smoothly
Document and continuously improve best practices, resources, and SOPs
Partner with the product and development teams to ensure that vendor’s needs are being met
Troubleshoot issues related to marketing, Postal tools, technology/devices, enterprise systems, etc
You have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
You have 2-4 years previous experience in virtual events, account management or client relationship management
You have strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; extraordinary listening skills
You have strong problem solving and analytical skills; quickly formulates solutions that deliver real business value
You have the ability to recognize and maximize business opportunities
You have multi-tasking down to a science; handling multiple accounts and assignments simultaneously
You have an interest in new software and cutting edge programs in the larger events landscape
You have a commitment to exceed goals that is internal, constant, and self imposed
Previous experience in events and technology a plus
Previous experience dealing with vendors in a customer/vendor capacity a plus
Previous experience with remote training a plus
