Do you have 1-2 years of experience with digital ad operations or digital ad trafficking?  Do you fully understand CM360 (fka GCM/DCM/DFA) and can talk somebody thru the entire trafficking process without looking at the platform? Do you look at every campaign in the terms of Import-Export functionality? Could you name at least three different ways to assign creatives to a placement off the top of your head? 

You know your technical stuff and can troubleshoot everything from the ad server hiccups to creative failures to VLOOKUP-ups & concatenates.  You know that these floodlights aren’t found at the hardware store.  Your attention to detail is remarkable.  Team work literally does make the dream work; you’re a firm believer in that.  You are resourceful, love the satisfaction of solving ad tech puzzles and you get sh*t done.

The nitty gritty:

The AdOps Specialist is responsible for digital activation requests, and collaborative maintenance of the team’s daily ticketing queue.  They work on specific projects in conjunction with the team leadership.  They attend client status meetings and interface with partners and publishers. The AdOps Specialist assists in the training the new members of the AdOps team and are the go-to person for day-to-day ad trafficking.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Digital ad trafficking across all agency clients: Traffic, test, and maintain online, consumer device, and mobile advertising campaigns using Google’s Campaign Manager 360 (CM360)
  • Facilitate integration of additional 4th party partners within CM360 via event tags and URL appendages
  • Ensure successful implementation of all digital tags, including those for ad verification (MOAT, IAS) and attribution (C3)
  • Manage client URLs for strategic analytics tagging between CM360, verification, attribution, and analytics
  • Guarantee consistent nomenclature as needed for Datorama and attribution matching
  • Floodlight creation, validation, and corresponding audience creation

Quality assurance & consistency 

  • Adheres to the standardized AdOps operating procedure for all Crossmedia brands
  • Creative asset QA prior to trafficking
  • Alert account teams of ad server changes, issues and/or troubleshoot as needed
  • Follows the QA process for validating and testing ad tags, URLs site pixels and confirm proper pixel implementation 
  • Troubleshoot any ad creative issues that affect tracking, implementation of floodlights, or reporting
  • Contribute to documentation relevant to AdOps SOPs, partner nuances and implementation guides
  • Meticulous attention to detail is required

Strategy & Leadership 

  • Share responsibility of  correct implementation of campaigns including relevant trafficking, blocklist, verification measures
  • Assist in the training of Crossmedians on ad technology or internal processes
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to translate tech-heavy language to the everyday person.

Systems Knowledge

  • Expert  - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient - Google CM360, MOAT, Integral Ad Sciences
  • Novice - Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch
  • Preferred 1-2 years of ad agency AdOps experience, but publisher side experience is considered
