Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

insightsoftware is looking for a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting for this fast-growing financial software company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will play a critical role in achieving insightsoftware's mission by managing revenue recognition and cost of goods sold reporting of our partner network including any mergers or acquisitions. We are looking for an exceptionally smart and ambitious leader who'd like a shot to prove their worth in a fast-paced, dynamic software company. 
What will you do? 

• Manage the recording of revenue and deferred revenue performing critical analysis on a monthly to explain the movement of balances
• Oversee a team of 3+ individuals
• Review and opine on the revenue treatment for complex contracts
• Perform analysis to support stand-alone selling price by product under ASC 606
• Prepare year-end technical accounting memos as needed
• Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making correcting journal entries and posting accrual entries
• Manage special projects related to new technical accounting pronouncements

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting or related field 
• 6+ years of accounting experience, Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Software revenue recognition experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and proven technical research and application skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels both within and outside the company 

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s in accounting or business administration
• Previous management experience
• Experience with NetSuite and SalesForce
• CPA or CMA
• Power user of Excel
