We are recruiting for a VP Sales Strategy and Enablement leader for our Experian Employer Services business. Critical to our position as a market leader, this leader will report directly to the Head of Sales and will be responsible for developing GTM sales strategies for products and markets and ensuring we are maximizing sales productivity, effectiveness, competitive wins, and most of all market share and revenue acceleration to achieve short and long-term revenue goals.
This individual leads the Sales Strategy and Enablement team and is responsible for managing the functions essential to sales productivity and effectiveness within the organization. These include leading initiatives to attract and retain top sales talent, improve the client experience, grow pipeline, intensify and execute partner strategies. Functions reporting into this role will include business planning, reporting and analytics, data management, sales process optimization, sales learning and enablement, sales program implementation and policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provides counsel to the sales organization, and the executive leadership team and their associates in implementing overall business objectives for sales excellences.
•Partners with senior sales and marketing leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring efficient sales process with focus on continuous process improvement.
•Provides guidance for prioritizing investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity. Works closely with Leadership to understand sales and technology strategy. Recommends changes and enhancements to support technology platforms.
•Responsible for ensuring the optimal deployment of sales personnel and territory optimization. Makes recommendations to senior sales leadership for changing sales roles, coverage models, or team configurations in order to maximize sales productivity.
•Works closely with senior sales and sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements required to ensure sales organization success. Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities.
•Designs, implements, and advises on a sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting process for annual goals. To include territory alignment and yearly quotas to meet sales organizations objectives.
•Ensures BU-appropriate sales reports and data analytics is provided to the sales leaders. Develops tools as needed. Coordinates with sales leadership and other stakeholders to execute efficient and accurate sales reporting initiatives including win/loss analysis, pipeline, and forecast.
•Establish a sales training methodology. Oversee the delivery of field training to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel.
•Simplify selling environment through playbooks which includes critical buyer insight, competitive intelligence, messaging framework and content strategy for sales execution and cadence.
•Partner with marketing to ensure strategic lead management framework to drive revenue.
•Create and maintain a unified and combined sales prospect and client database as well as refining ROI measurements to facilitate appropriate capital allocations/priorities by product and lead generation method/channel.
•Partner with marketing on increasing revenue through cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
•Enable new product launches ensuring sales readiness though the playbook process.
•Drive a performance-based culture that engages associates to achieve excellence.
•Responsibility for sales policy administration. Establishes program rules, policies, and procedures. Ensures sufficient resources are assigned to adequately administer sales programs. Works closely with Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources to uphold and interpret rules, policies, and procedures as needed.
•Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
•BS degree in Marketing or Business Administration
•Minimum of 10 years of sales or sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment
•Minimum 5 years in a sales operation, sales strategy, business planning, sales management role
•Strong sales process acumen experience
