Your Career

As a Consulting Engineer (CE), you will be the expert for a specific technology or solutions vertical within our VM-Series & CN-Series offerings. 

You are the “go to” resource for customer interactions that exceed standard systems engineering support requirements. We always expect a baseline expertise in all areas from our System Engineers (SE's) but augment them with CE’s in the advanced or new technology areas.

The Consulting Engineer role is an overlay technical role that must directly support sales delivery of quota. CE’s are measured by their expertise and by their ability to lead customer successes. There is also a requirement for close interaction with product management to ensure that we continue to out-innovate our competition.

We are flexible on location and will consider applicants in the UK, Netherlands, Germany and France.

Your Impact

• Present to customers and partners as our subject matter expert in your technical domain at all levels in the customer hierarchy from technician to CIO
• Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of
• Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace  and position ours as the best alternative
• Lead and support customer demonstrations, with our System Engineers, that showcase our unique value
• Interact locally and remotely with customers in an equally persuasive manner

Your experience

• It is likely that you will have experience in pre-sales although we will consider professional services/delivery experience combined with ability to do customer presentation/demonstrations effectively
• Good understanding of the infrastructure of at least 2 of the main Public Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure or GCP) with experience installing and configuring such environments.
• Programming experience, ideally in Ansible, Terraform, Python and good knowledge of APIs
• Demonstrable experience with systems installation, configuration and administration of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems and scripting
• Experience that emphasises L2-L4 Networking, and demonstrable experience in securing these environments 
• Experience understanding threat signatures and their creation is preferred
• Flexibility to travel c50%-60%
