Job Description

Here’s how we work:

IBI Group's is seeking a Digital Events Coordinator to join the Digital Engagement Venue Team, although based primarily out of the Vancouver office, this role can be a remote position.

As a Digital Events Coordinator, you will be working with designers and technical experts to coordinate and deliver successful digital events for project clients. The successful candidate will have a positive professional attitude, work well under pressure, be able to effectively prioritize tasks, and possess strong verbal and written skills. Organizational ability to track multiple ongoing projects and ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction. Team oriented with a strong initiative to take on new projects and execute assignments. Experience planning and delivering successful online and/or in-person events of various sizes.

Most of the things you’ll work on:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationship with the clients and project team
  • Responsible for overall delivery of the event, including:
    • Setting internal delivery deadlines
    • Leading project meetings with the client
    • Work collaboratively and creatively with the client and project team to program and determine the best solutions to meet their event needs
    • Tracking project progress and outstanding deliverables 
    • Ensure agreed upon deliverables meet requirements, time, and quality standards Providing digital venue training to client and providing technical support day-of-event
    • Work closely with the project team to build the digital event space
  • Internally communicate task or project status and identify problems in a timely manner
  • Follow administrative and financial policies
  • Work effectively as a team, supporting other members in achieving business objectives as a whole
  • Contribute to the organization by sharing knowledge and expertise

Qualifications

You'll Need to Have:

  • 1-2 years in an event planning role, digital event planning would be an asset 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or other relevant discipline
  • Exceptional client service
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of business personnel
  • Flexibility to change priorities as needed, and successfully meet multiple project deadlines 
  • Ability to manage project assignments from start to finish with minimal oversight
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills 
  • Attention on detail and accuracy 
  • Professionalism and composure in stressful situations 
  • The desire to continually learn and grow

Additional Information

Due to COVID 19, we have implemented a work from home model until we return to the office. When we return to the office, you must be able to commute to our location at 1285 West Pender Street, the IBI Group Vancouver office is in the historic and architecturally significant Evergreen Building in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The office is public transit and cyclist-friendly with the SkyTrain just an 8-minute walk away and a secure IBI Group bike room on the first floor.
