Sr. Designer, visual storytelling

Brainrider is looking for an experienced, tenacious Senior Designer to join our client-embedded on-site team as part of the client's internal creative studio team.  As an embedded designer, you will partner with the Ads and Business Products team to collaborate on creating impactful designs for internal vision projects, event design, presentations, systems, as well video content and a variety of visual design challenges.

You will help maintain a high-quality bar for the client's internal creative work. Our perfect candidate is a bonafide triple threat with strong motion design, branding/identity, and Illustration skills with an online portfolio to prove it.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take complex concepts and bring them to life simply and beautifully
• Execute top quality and cutting-edge visual design work including branding glyphs, logos, identification marks, website/wiki designs, product experiences, presentations, presentation templates, storyboards or animatics for motion graphics and video
• Balance all design aspects of a project from start to finish. Define the visual designs, ideate, sketch, to deliver a visual design system to key stakeholders
• Collaborate and work closely with writers, designers, dev teams and strategists to Create designs that clearly communicate the client's brand and products
• Partner with Creative Director to Develop visual identity platforms, systems, typography, palette, illustration, iconography systems
• Accountable for ensuring work across their team is on brief, on brand, and of the highest quality.
• Receive feedback from all levels of the organization and balance great design with meeting short deadlines.
• Represent the creative team in cross-functional teams and meetings as the visual design expert

• 5+ years agency/design experience in a creative environment
• Deep experience and a solid foundation and understanding of digital design and marketing channels
• Highly proficient in Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Powerpoint and Keynote.
• Experience with animating, using video or 3D programs
• Ability to effectively articulate conceptual and design decisions
• Basic understanding of the design principles to driving results in an online environment
• Strong online design portfolio featuring business/marketing design work including creative branding work, presentation decks, design systems, content assets, templates, and more.
• Demonstrated ability to tell stories and communicate concepts with easy-to-understand visuals
• Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly explain design concepts and solutions and accept constructive feedback
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment & manage intensive workload
• Ability to hit the ground running and work in a fast-paced environment

Due to current COVID-19 guidelines this full-time position is 100% remote/work from home until further notice. (offices pending reopening in late 2021)
