The Senior Client Partner (SCP) is the single point of leadership for her or his assigned initiatives. This role is responsible for oversight of the work, stewarding and empowering the project-based leadership of Client Partners (business leads) and Clients Operations Leads (operations and execution leads), and for connecting with SCP colleagues to ensure horizontal application of business and creative insights and best practices. The SCP is also responsible for the long-term trajectory of the team members within their direct reporting structure.
We are seeking a Senior Client Partner (SCP) to champion user experience, enterprise website design, and customer journey-based digital thinking for our clients. We are looking for someone who is passionate about insights that can be derived from research to create solutions that are helpful and that reduce customer frictions. Part strategist, part analyst, part tinkerer - with a sincere love of all things mobile, web, and digital.
In a daily capacity you will manage the Platform group (largely the tools and experiences we create for our clients’ websites). And, you will partner with the digital strategy team in providing digital thought leadership both within the agency and to our clients. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a pure-play digital agency or within a client services environment where you were responsible for a portfolio of enterprise class website and/or application initiatives.
Leadership responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing a team of Client Partners and Client Operations Leads and partnering closely with disciplinary leads across creative, media, strategy, production, and data/analytics to launch creative marketing solutions that directly service our clients’ business objectives.
- Effectively “dot connecting” across the senior-most levels within our agency and our clients, ensuring that knowledge, challenges, and opportunities are communicated and understood proactively in service of total project success.
- In partnership with the Business Operations and Program Management Office, oversee the annual scope of work for your assigned initiatives such that team resourcing, agency fee and commensurate work output are all aligned against agency leadership and client expectations.
- Clear the path for great ideas to flourish, be respected and understood by our clients by “laying track” for ideas: simplifying complex situations or decisions, empowering agency specialists to execute, and removing roadblocks for success.
- Oversee a series of initiative/project-based pods, which should be led by a Client Partner and Client Operations Lead with varying levels of support, all flying under your leadership. Your leadership should include on-boarding and training, oversight of workload assignments and performance evaluations.
We are looking for candidates with the following background and capabilities:
- 12+ years of proven executive experience in a client services function within a digital Marketing, Web, or Web-related business field.
- Possesses deep, applied expertise in integrated marketing (channels, tools, analysis, techniques, influential business examples).
- Has experience being seen as a leader internally and by clients, driven by insight-led thinking and an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business.
- Successfully grows long-term, trusted relationships with senior level clients.
- Strong knowledge and experience utilizing digital analytics.
- Demonstrates thought leadership and creation of intellectual capital that might be applied to other clients and offices (network).
- Possesses an intimate knowledge of the complexities of delivering enterprise scale websites for fortune 500 companies.
- A collaborative spirit. This role is an adviser and thought leader – someone who embodies collaboration as much as the teams themselves and who leads from behind to help the entire team rise to new challenges.
- Clear and visibly demonstrated success managing large, complex marketing initiatives and teams. Track record of highly motivated and inspired team members and clients.
- Drive multiple streams of work concurrently while meeting deadlines and maintaining proper documentation. Build trust, drive decisions, and foster strategic integrity of work with multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior clients to understand business objectives, nurture client relations and act as a center of excellence to connect agency resources to drive the successful outcome of initiatives. Clearly articulate desired outcomes, ensure project objectives are met and merchandise past successes.
