Job Description

The F1000 Corporate Communications team is responsible for all aspects of the external communications strategy for F1000 and its partnerships. Our clear ambition for communications: to be the conscience of the business and champion of the brand.

This business purpose is brought to life through the role of communications and campaigning, with communications disciplines that work effectively with other teams to ensure integration of communications across F1000 and Taylor & Francis, working together for maximum impact.

As a communications team we work on multiple fronts, with a communications programme that leverages progressive business initiatives, builds celebratory feel-good moments, campaigns with passion from a position of strength, scale and responsibility, maintains a drumbeat of positive storytelling and works hard to mitigate potential risks. The activity must continue to reach multiple audiences, amplifying and deepening customer marketing activity and messaging delivered above the line.

Reporting into the F1000 Corporate Communications Manager- Brand, Campaigns and Sponsorship, the Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in helping to shape and enhance F1000’s ongoing transformation, through helping to better establish our brand, reputation, purpose and vision. This is a new role within the team and will have a global remit.

What you will be doing:

  • Content creation, copywriting and story-telling, utilising a range of different media and for different audiences, clearly articulating our corporate brand narrative across internal and external channels.
  • Assist in the development and execution of multi-channel brand campaigns.
  • Assist with the set-up and on-going management of our brand ambassador network.
  • Identification and production of materials and tools for colleagues to build the brand internally and support the work of colleagues as ambassadors in external communication.
  • Assist the Communications Manager in conducting regular brand audits to ensure consistency of our visual identity.
  • Assist the Communications Manager in the identification and delivery of key corporate sponsorship opportunities.
  • Regularly monitor and report on the success of campaign and PR activities, with a focus on building awareness and generating ROI.
  • Assist the F1000 Director of Communications and wider team on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications

What we are looking for: 

  • Experience of working in a marketing or communications team, understanding of the strategic role of communications and the implementation of corporate communications campaigns
  • Strong copy-writing and story-telling skills with the ability to write for a range of different media
  • Knowledge and experience of using of LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
  • Ability to proactively manage own time and priorities, managing multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent relationship building and able to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrable customer and commercial awareness – including the competitive environment, potential partner organisations and market trends
  • Works collaboratively with others to build strong partnerships, both internally and externally
  • Contributes ideas of how to best manage and implement changes based on customer needs
  • Develops innovative ideas that improve work processes or results
  • Maintains knowledge of new marketing/industry trends.

This role is open to candidates in all locations across the United Kingdom. Taylor & Francis has multiple options for how employees can work based on their role – be that in the Office, at home or somewhere in between.

This role can be based remotely although occasional travel to our offices in London will be required.
