How can you change it up?
PIA or Physical Infrastructure Access is the third-party portal that telecoms organisations use to view and access Openreach’s network infrastructure. We use this infrastructure to deploy our own fibre cables by sharing space both in their underground and overground networks.
As our development lead, you’ll be working with Openreach and cross-departmentally to deliver improvements to our use of PIA, as well as the PIA product itself. By working with these different business functions and through your strong working relationships with Openreach, you’ll help optimise our use of PIA, ensuring business readiness when there are changes to the product, acting as the point of contact for internal colleagues, and ultimately making an impact by reducing the cost of build and increasing throughput.
What will you bring to the role?
You’ll be a natural solutions finder, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across various groups to deliver change.
It’s important for you to have previous experience in process or continuous improvement of third party systems, as well as experience working within a telecoms environment and an understanding of FTTH/P networks. It will also be beneficial for you to have a degree level in a relevant qualification. Any previous PIA experience would be a bonus!
This is a newly created role within CityFibre and will give you the chance to use your skills and experience to drive positive change and improvements, helping our teams to transform communities and leave a legacy for future generations.
