We’re looking for an Indigenous Advisor and Administrator to support our Indigenous Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion team. This is a parental leave cover for 4 months and is open to First Nations peoples only.

Reporting to the Head of Indigenous Affairs, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Indigenous Advisor and Administrator supports the delivery of the Indigenous Affairs strategy through data collection and analytics, reporting and providing administration support.

You’ll be providing data for reporting purposes, you’ll complete exit interviews with Indigenous employees and track trends and you’ll work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to complete wage subsidy information. You will also get to work on projects relating to Indigenous food security and induction training.

As a member of the Indigenous Affairs team, you’ll get to work with a range of stakeholders and ensure that the team delivers on our Reconciliation Action Plan commitments.

You take pride in delivering work to the highest standard, with excellent time management and teamwork skills and have the ability to work independently and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. 

To be successful, you’ll need: 

  • Preferably have experience working in a similar role with experience in data collection and trend analysis.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.
  • A genuine desire and commitment to foster harmonious relationships within the communities in which we work.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably.
  • Tertiary qualification in Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences, Environmental Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience would be highly regarded but not essential.
