ABOUT THE JOB

As the HRIS Analyst, you will ensure that our HRIS systems are fully leveraged to maximize effectiveness and efficiency for the Fortune Brands Outdoors & Security group. The Outdoors & Security group includes the Therma-Tru, Master Lock, Fiberon, and Larson companies. The HRIS Specialist will provide both project leadership and configuration ownership to multi-faceted HRIS projects that support our focus on continuous improvement. The HRIS Specialist will analyze business problems, gather stakeholder input, design solutions, provide recommendations, implement solutions, and maintain the systems. The successful candidate thinks strategically, acts tactically, and possesses a strong ability to conceptualize, develop, drive, and coordinate our system architecture and process across all Outdoors & Security companies.  This role will prepare you for a broader leadership role across our HR Technology team.  The successful candidate can be located in any of our Outdoors & Security facilities in Toledo, OH, Milwaukee, WI, Brookings, SD, or Charlotte, NC.

HRIS Landscape

  • Two distinct SaaS UKGPro instances with Cognos Business Intelligence 
  • Two distinct SaaS UKGPro Time & Attendance systems
  • One distinct on-premise PeopleSoft environment
  • One Kronos on-premise Workforce Management environment
  • SaaS SmartRecruiters Applicant Tracking

YOUR ROLE

  • Be the system administrator and subject matter expert for the timekeeping systems (UKGPro Ultimate Time & Attendance and Kronos Workforce Central) that’s used for our production and non-exempt workforce, including troubleshooting, interfaces, and ongoing system configuration & maintenance
  • Be a core team member to strategic HRIS projects – either as the project manager (for smaller projects) or as the subject matter expert (for larger projects) currently,
  • Time & Attendance system consolidation and standardization across 4 companies – US
  • HRIS system consolidation and standardization across 4 companies – globally
  • Lead the change management governance methodology regarding system changes
  • Lead all HRIS interface creation or modification based on changes needed to support business decisions, such as vendor changes, policy changes, and mergers & acquisitions
  • With support from Sr Manager, HRIS & Payroll, act as system administrator for the HRIS systems used across Outdoors & Security – currently:
  • Maintain & enhance system expertise by attending training, reviewing updates and staying current with HRIS and data analytics trends
  • Ensure broader HR team is trained to effectively use the HRIS

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of data analytics and/or HRIS experience  
  • UKGPro implementation, configuration and/or maintenance experience
  • Kronos Workforce Management or Ultimate Time & Attendance implementation, configuration and/or maintenance experience
  • Effective project management skills
  • Strong organizational and execution skills
  • Ability to critically assess and simplify process and controls
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion
  • Can handle multiple projects with tight timelines

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, HR or related field
  • PeopleSoft or Workday implementation, configuration and/or maintenance experience
