LBF is adding to our Compliance Team, we are looking to add an Advertising Compliance Lead. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and management of programs, policies, and practices to ensure the company is compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements regarding advertising and marketing activity.

Job Description

  • Designs and develops programs, policies, and practices in collaboration with the legal and marketing teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local advertising, marketing and consumer protection requirements.
  • Manages the monitoring of advertising and marketing activities and related operational practices for compliance with internal policies and applicable rules and regulations.
  • Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals.
  • Ensures required policies and procedures are documented, regularly reviewed and updated as appropriate, and necessary training is provided
  • Coordinates with business units to advise on and support corporate compliance initiatives
  • Review and approve all marketing materials for distribution to multiple business channels prior to use.
  • Supports legal team and assists with implementation of various compliance initiatives
  • Other compliance duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in financial services industry, mortgage experience preferred
  • J. D. or paralegal a plus
  • 2-5 years of experience with corporate compliance program development/management directly related to marketing compliance
  • Knowledge of current consumer protection and other applicable regulations affecting marketing and advertising practices in the United States
  • Reverse Mortgage experience a plus
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) a plus

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs
  • Experience reviewing advertising and sales materials; or relevant equivalent experience
  • Excellent people and communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to successfully explain complex matters and provide persuasive support for positions with internal stakeholders, outside partners, and to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Methodical and diligent planning abilities
  • Analytical approach to operationalizing compliance requirements
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Strong PC, Microsoft Office and Google applications skills
  • Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with tight deadlines
  • Resourcefulness, good judgment, careful attention to detail, ability to follow through essential
  • Cooperativeness and flexibility important
  • Collaborative team player with strong desire to achieve results while respecting the company’s core values framework
  • Self-managed and self-motivated; able to perform job requirements with minimal amount of supervision
