QA Engineer

In Nielsen Technology, we process over 250 terabytes of data every single day, manage it in the latest cloud technology, and build best-in-class analytical tools to add transparency and efficiency to the consumer goods market at a scale that no other company is able to achieve. We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer with good knowledge and experience in the Cloud platform. Competency to manage CI/CD pipeline and dockers would enhance the scope & responsibility of the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA effort for enterprise applications in Web & Mobile platform

• Lead the architecture and implementation of automation frameworks that meet the high standards of technology best practices, quality, compliance, and reliability.

• Incorporate consistency, efficiency and re-usability of test components/scripts in your design

• Drive test automation goals, maintain and optimize test frameworks

• Execute Front-End tests, regression tests, API tests, exploratory tests, and end-to-end workflow tests, performance and reliability tests and all other applicable tests.

About you

5+ years of experience as a prime member in QA & preferably DevOps role 

Have a broad knowledge of Quality Assurance in DevOps and be eager to learn new things. Be attentive to details, be diligent, responsible, and persistent. Have a critical mindset aimed to find errors

Qualifications

Required

• Expertise in setting up Test Strategy, Test Plan & Test Case creations for Web & Mobile platforms

• Expertise in setting up Performance Testing

• Expertise in following :

  • Selenium, Java, SQL, Automation Testing, Shell Scripting

  • Automation tools :- Cucumber, Selenium, Maven, TestNG and REST API’s

• Experience with version control best practices based Content Management systems ( SVN, GIT.), including branching and merging strategies

• Automation experience in Continuous Testing by using Jenkins, Selenium or Protractor, Jasmine/Karma,  Appium and JMeter

• Experience working on Project Management tools like JIRA, Azure Boards etc

• Knowledge & Experience in Linux, Windows and Mobile operating systems

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database platform

Preferred

• Ability to develop robust and scalable backend infrastructure of several microServices architecture defined by RESTful APIs using Serverless framework / architecture in Python, Java

• Develop Scripts / hooks as necessary for CI/CD

• Build and maintain highly available systems on Kubernetes.

• Implement and improve Cloud monitoring, tuning and alerting.

• Exposure in SonarQube, Fortify

• Experience in Angular or React will be an added advantage.
