Job Description

Broad Purpose of Job

  • Partner with Regional Compliance Lead for Europe & Canada to develop strategy for the implementation of the Global Compliance Program in applicable markets and businesses.
  • Ensure implementation of Global Compliance Program in Germany and Mid-Europe markets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Direct Compliance partner for Germany and Mid-Europe markets, responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the Global Compliance Program, including:
  1. Risk Assessment roll-out/input
  2. Training development/adaptation, implementation and oversight
  3. Development and implementation of country-specific policies and tools
  4. Monitoring implementation
  5. Audit support, as requested
  6. Third Party Due Diligence and Management implementation and escalation of red flags
  7. Investigation Management and Response
  8. Oversight of implementation of Incentives and Disciplinary Measures
  9. Analysis and Remediation of Underlying Misconduct
  10. Ongoing review and continuous improvement
  11. Compliance Champion training and oversight
  12. Tone at the top
  • Act as lead investigator for Compliance investigations as requested.
  • Lead Regional and Local Compliance Committees.
  • Partner with leadership to drive a Culture of Integrity.
  • Support Design and Effectiveness projects or activities as requested.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of regulator expectations for company Compliance Programs, particularly U.S., U.K. and in-scope Country regulators.
  • Strong understanding of key compliance risk areas facing multi-national companies in highly-regulated industries, as well as associated laws and industry standards, including healthcare compliance, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, anti-trust, conflicts of interest, trade sanctions, and data privacy.
  • Proven success in designing and implementing effective Global Compliance Programs in highly-regulated industries, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven success in developing strategy and turning it into tangible action plans.
  • Experience leading teams, including remote team members, managing and rewarding performance and developing talent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and German, with a preference for additional languages relevant for the region) with individuals and groups at all levels of an organization, in all settings. 
  • Experience presenting to and advising senior leadership; capable of producing leadership-level presentations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to accomplish objectives.
