Job Description

What you’ll be doing

The  Partner Program Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.  The Partner Program Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will work closely with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team (DEI), Experian Business Units and our customers to help define how Experian’s business solutions can support marginalized communities and support our customers with their efforts in support equal equity.   

  • Work in partnership with the Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, DEI team and stakeholders to design and implement targeted approaches for equal equity in marginalized populations, including but not limited to; rural, black, and Hispanic communities.
  • Serve as Program Manager for DEI, including strategic community partners such as National Urban League (NUL) to deliver impactful tools, resources and connect them with Experian subject matter experts in support of equal equity.
  • Develops, plans, executes, and owns strategic short- and long-term community partnership operational goals and objectives
  • Manages goals and objectives with community partners, DEI team and leadership
  • Manages very large partners across multiple chapters including leveraging Global community partnerships
  • Manages community partnership with Data Analytics to ensure performance/impact metrics
  • Manages attention to detail, accuracy in high quality work, while maintaining focus on our internal and external partners
  • Collaborates with multiple business units to plan and execute projects including cross-functional communications
  • Manages and grows strategic community partnership
  • Plans, staffs, reviews, delivers, and tracks community partner events.  Provides leaderships, coaching, guidance, training, and staff development. 
  • Provide project management, event planning, and guidance to drive success of inclusion and diversity initiatives in partnership with appropriate business and functional team members
  • Partner with the Marketing & Communications and Recruiting teams to communicate efforts and results internally and externally (including our people, customers, consumers, stakeholders, and candidates).  Website updates with current and future partnership events.
  • Ability to drive results and impact by influencing others without direct line authority
  • Manages interdependencies and ensures appropriate communication flows among functions and leadership; responsible for ensuring that ad-hoc and sub-team program members have the information and context they need to contribute to program success
  • Provide input and guidance in support of organizational development and Experian’s organizational readiness for DEI initiatives
  • Actively lead and support efforts to build awareness and trust within underserved communities
  • Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to amplify our equal equity approach for Consumers in marginalized communities, credit unions and also corporate clients.
  • Lead efforts with client relationship teams, primarily if not exclusively focused on delivering diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions to clients in the corporate, non-profit, philanthropic and government sectors. Serve as a DEI point of contact for client interactions.
  • In collaboration with Experian team members, develop, refine and/or execute various deliverables, to include DEI needs assessments, program/work plans, summative reports, recommendations memos, presentation decks, etc.
  • Engage in thought leadership activities, to include speeches, panel discussions, written pieces; maintain awareness of and connection to industry developments within the equity sector
  • Responsible for creating visually appealing PowerPoint decks of DEI concepts, trends, and projects.
  • Makes informed proposals, presentations, and decisions with relevant data that is captured through available systems and resources.
  • Contribute to the DEI practice area substantively and tactically - thought partnership, knowledge-sharing, problem-solving, work planning, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  • 6-8 years of experience driving change, leading programs, and working across multiple functions
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Resource Group leader and/or related volunteer experience as a primary and/or secondary function
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts, and marketing communications principles
  • Able to navigate a highly matrixed organization to execute upon strategy
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently
  • Use best-in-class project management and stakeholder engagement techniques to influence broad group of stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Advanced foundation in problem solving, analytics and project management principles and tools
  • Advanced communications skills: superior editing, writing, and critical reasoning skills, and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Advanced presentation design skills to tell a compelling story, specifically within PowerPoint
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor degree  or equivalent experience.
