Job Description

Product/Business Analyst - Remote

This position is open due to a promotion!

 The Product/Business Analyst will work as a member of our VenueOps Product Team during every step of the Product Development Process. The Product Team acts as a bridge between multiple departments making final decisions regarding which features go into each development release (called “Sprints”). Typically, our product sees 4-6 software releases per year.  

Our development process includes the following steps below and the Analyst plays a key role in facilitating the process. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of VenueOps products to meet the company's current and future needs.
  • Conduct impact and exploratory testing to analyze metrics to continually improve VenueOps products products against industry trends.
  • Facilitate periodic feedback review meetings with internal teams.
  • Organize and prioritize product feedback from current customers and sales prospects into User Stories in ProductBoard.
  • Evaluate product feedback to plan and lead development Sprints.
  • Assist cross functional partners with designing product features.
  • Assist team in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth.
  • Follow-up with client after software releases to determine internal action items.
  • Other duties assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics or any related field.
  • Previous product analysis experience in a Saas environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, MS Access, Tableau, Excel, DevExpress, or other similar report builders.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  • The ability to balance customer needs against the company’s vision.
  • Excellent time management skills.

  • You have experience with tools such as ProductBoard and GitHub.

  • You are an empathetic listener and strong communicator, allowing others to feel heard while asking thoughtful clarifying questions and separating the emotion from the issue.  

  • You can communicate with a wide variety of people from customers and prospects to our internal teams of Engineers, QA, Sales, Consulting, and Client Success. 

  • You like to keep everyone in the loop - you don’t hold back communicating about goals, expectations, tasks, and feedback; you expect the same from others. 

  • You prefer to argue both sides of an issue, and strive to see things from others’ perspectives.
