Junior Engineer - Test Automation

At UHG, we have built and grown our own medEbridge platform to connect businesses with healthcare all in the one place. We help businesses search, book and pay for health information and services from healthcare providers across Australia.

Currently we have a great opportunity for a Junior Engineer - Test Automation to join our team. As a Software Engineer at UHG, you will work as part of a collaborative team who genuinely enjoys working together with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers and quality engineers to make the medEbridge platform a better product. We are looking for engineers that understand that simplicity and reliability are aspects of a system to be carefully calculated with every decision made.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for automation tests and will be a significant contributor to developing and maintaining our medEbridge platform's automation test suite.  

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Developing automated tests to verify feature functionality
• Maintain automation test suites
• Review automation test results and take appropriate actions on failures
• Contribute to the incremental development of test automation frameworks

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Experience with Selenium, Specflow and writing feature files
• Experience in writing step definitions using C#
• Working experience/knowledge in HTML, JavaScript/ TypeScript/ jQuery/ React, Bootstrap/Nodejs/GRUNT
• Agile development practices experience  
• Strong Test Automation experience – testing across UI, Web Services, API’s (REST & SOAPUI)
• Passion for all things digital and highly motivated with a willingness to learn
• Preferably from development background would be ideal
• Strong communication skills, able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Able to provide a satisfactory Police Clearance
