Job Description

We are seeking a thought-leading, experienced Senior Account Director with an agency background and experience in digital marketing campaigns and programs.

This is a leadership role within the Account Team, with the right candidate having the ability to get hands on with multiple high profile, and important Metia clients.

The primary objective of the Senior Account Director role is to identify, nurture, and grow relationships within client accounts for both new and existing clients. This includes building relationships with existing clients, acting as an expert and escalation point both internally and externally, and providing strategic guidance and direction for the programs and campaigns you’re responsible for. This role will work closely with clients to help identify their business needs and priorities, as well as help strategize and formulate solutions. This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring we deliver for our clients.

The ideal candidate is expert in building strong client relationships, well poised and confident, and has a passion for technology and all things digital. In return they will have the opportunity to help shape the digital agency of the future.

What you will do:

• Build and continue to grow understanding and knowledge of clients’ business and their customers

• Develop, maintain, and grow client relationships

• Provide a strategic vision and create plans for account development

• Work with internal teams to execute account plans

• Advise and support clients in all areas

• Be a trusted advisor to clients, offering new and relevant solutions and support as required and appropriate

• Maintain and grow revenue from existing clients through retainers and projects

• Maintain high quality service levels for you and your team

• Ensure team resources are appropriately allocated to match client requirements, workloads, new business opportunities, and personal development

• Participate in new business proposals/pitches

• Meet agreed client deadlines, proactively managing client expectations and delivery

• Act as an ambassador for Metia at all times. Understand all facets of Metia’s offering in order to maximize opportunities with clients

• Train/mentor team members, including other Account Directors

• Work to identify opportunities for personal development for you and your team

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful:

• 8+ years’ experience either in-house or agency side

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, be extremely well-organized, manage time effectively and find efficiencies in your own and others’ work

• The ability to make confident decisions for internal team and client projects and programs

• Possess excellent, intuitive, communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

• A proven track record in managing complex/multiple accounts

• Act as a strong team player able to lead teams in a collaborative fashion but also have the ability to work on own initiative

• Experience in setting and managing budgets for clients and teams

• The ability to inspire others

• Knowledge of the Technology industry preferable, but not essential

• Degree-level qualification required

• Strong networking capability
