Job Description

Our Advanced Learning division is on an exciting journey of transformation and expansion, as it sets out its ambition to grow over the next 5 years.

We are looking for an extremely analytical and numerate Marketing Data Analyst to join our Advanced Learning Marketing team to support data-driven business development across the Teaching & Learning sector, an important market for the division as we support faculty and students in their digital learning journey.

You will work with both internal and external data and provide insight by looking at trends and patterns which help support the Teaching and Learning strategy, ensuring new untapped opportunities can be capitalized on across the changing global market landscape. Engaging with marketing teams, you be influential in conversations with key collaborator groups across the business making recommendations to explore and develop which can help shape the commercial offer.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Defining and executing on projects that will deliver meaningful insight to the broader Faculty Academic Marketing group to help advise customer engagement plans
  • Using internal and external data to develop an understanding of the Higher Education competitive landscape and T&F’s position within it. Exploring and interpreting market share analysis based on data insight which can help T&F shift its approach and impact to support customer success, presenting commercial options to explore, experiment, test and learn
  • Modeling scenarios which can be explored and further developed across cross-functional groups
  • Identifying data quality issues and carrying out root cause analysis, making recommendations for solutions and next steps
  • Maintaining close working relationships with key partners, including proactive communication, to ensure that programs are closely aligned
  • Contributing to findings in data analytics, identifying key processes and codifying these as standard operating procedures
  • Communicating a set of evidence-based data questions into the business for us to develop our thinking commercially with an aim of retaining and growing market share globally

Qualifications

  • Highly numerate with sophisticated level Excel
  • Knowledge and experience in data manipulation, data visualization and report creation, ideally in Power BI and Google Data Studio
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience in Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages
  • Experience in working with marketing and sales data
  • Experience in A/B testing, knowledge of other statistical modeling techniques would be advantageous
  • An understanding of the higher education market would be advantageous, but not essential
  • A focus on commercial results and making evidence-based decisions
  • Problem solving and critical thinking ability
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills
  • A focus on learning and self-development
  • Experience with the following would be beneficial: Marketing Cloud, Contentsquare, Optimizely, JavaScript, Google Analytics 360

  • You must have the right to work and live in United States
  • This role is open to candidate on the East Coast of the US in order to maximize the amount of hours worked with UK colleagues 
  • Domestic and international travel to T&F offices may be required
