AWS Solutions Architect - Public Sector Experience Required!

You are an experienced DevOps engineer who can work in a pre-sales environment to scope out the solutions for customers. You have demonstrated exposure and proven expertise and success with a range of DevOps tools, and love working with customers.

1. You will work closely with the Account executive to understand customers requirements to create SoWs
2. You will work closely with AWS teams to co-deliver immersion  days and webinars 
3. You will conduct well-architected reviews on the customer’s environment and build a roadmap of high-risk issues from the assessment 
4. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and mentoring junior solution architects 
5. Besides client-related project work, you will be participating in webinars, demo/idea generation/blog posts in order to bring new initiatives and new tools to be implemented with our clients

1. Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices
2. Experience working in pre-sales for external clients as well as public sector experience 
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate core DevOps concepts (CI/CD, Agile & Automation)
4. Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing, and firewall
5. Understanding of cloud-native security requirements
6. All things AWS, AWS-CLI, and AWS SDKs
7. Infrastructure as code (Terraform or Cloudformation/CDK)
8. Orchestration tools (Kubernetes/EKS or ECS)
9. Configuration Manager tools (Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, or Ansible)
10. Containers (Docker or Docker-Compose)
11. Scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or Javascript)
12. CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)
