Senior User Experience/UX Designer

Calix cloud and software platforms enable Communications Service Providers, or CSPs, of all sizes to innovate and transform their businesses. Calix is leading a service provider transformation to deliver a differentiated subscriber experience around the Smart Home and Business while monetizing their network through Role-based Cloud Services, Telemetry, Analytics, Automation, and the deployment of Software Driven Adaptive networks. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to support and drive the Calix Cloud Customer Experience and User Experience across all Cloud SaaS solutions. This is an individual contributor role that will require strong cross-collaboration to be successful.

Responsibilities:

• Support UX design and research strategy
• Collaborate with developers to produce solutions that work – that have high end-user adoption, productivity, and satisfaction 
• Work with visual designers to create finely crafted UI solutions that look and feel beautiful and reinforce the Calix brand 
• Engage with cross-functional teams through functional requirements gathering, wireframing, UI design, implementation, and validation through data collection 
• Participate in the agile product development process and ensure UX requirements are delivered on time 
• Understand and articulate customer needs and synthesize data from various sources to inform product decisions, alongside good intuition, and prior experience 
• Understand technical/business requirements of telco service provider operations, business, network design 

Qualifications:

• 6+ years’ experience, minimum; Designing B2B, SaaS applications or products and/or B2C mobile applications 
• Support UX design and research strategy, this is a senior-level user experience designer role, not an UI or web design position.  
• Proven track record creating human-centered solutions that help maximize return on investment, build customer loyalty, increase feature adoption 
• Extensive understanding of UX principles and heuristics 
• Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams (product, customer success, marketing engineering) 
• Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States.  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline 
• Master's degree in HCI preferred.  

Location:

This is a remote-based position in the United States or Canada. Must have work authorization to work in these areas.
