Open to students entering grades 9 through 12 and freshman year of college, the program combines academic rigor and instructional excellence with lively extracurricular offerings and careful supervision and support.
Columbia University’s Pre-College Program for High School Students is seeking MBA degree holders (or equivalent) to develop and teach an intensive three-week course, Introduction to Programming in C.
The instructor must be available to teach from January 22 through March 27, 2022
DAY & TIME: Saturday, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Develop course content, syllabus, lesson plan, and assigned work.
Lead all class sessions.
Establish and maintain a dynamic in-class environment.
Evaluate student work and write a holistic evaluation of each participant after the course ends.
Monitor and address student concerns and inquiries (you will have around 20-24 students).
Requirements
Master's degree or currently enrolled in a pertinent Master's program, or 3 years of related professional experience.
Expertise in the pertinent subject matter.
Aptitude for teaching.
If available, please submit recent formal teaching evaluations.
