Job Description

Brief Description of Responsibilities:

The Senior Recruiter will be a team oriented individual with excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills. They will be responsible for consulting with hiring managers/area to understand their recruitment needs, develop sourcing strategies to leverage diverse high caliber candidates, pre-screening candidates to assess their qualifications through a combination of behavioral and competency based interviewing, and monitoring requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment process.

Recruitment:

  • Develop a working knowledge of cities & departments in order to quickly identify hiring needs as well as how that fits into the broader organizational culture.
  • Cultivate and develop talent pipelines, especially for frequently filled positions.
  • Work creatively with city leaders and other departments to help create recruitment plans, identify resources for outreach and staffing needs.

Applicant Tracking System (ATS):

  • Utilize job boards to disseminate employment opportunities.
  • Convert job descriptions into persuasive marketing documents prior to posting:
  • Be actively involved in candidate sourcing:

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or Business Management/Administration
  • Minimum three (3) years of full-time experience working in a high volume recruitment area conducting all facets of recruitment
  • Experience leading boolean search and other proactive talent sourcing techniques and strategies
  • Experience recruiting for a variety of positions
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience conducting presentations, workshops and/or training

Desired:

  • Experience utilizing Rippling or similar HRIS
  • Experience using SmartRecruiters ATS
  • Experience using social media for recruitment purposes
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP certification
  • Agency background highly desirable
  • Experience in a sports or hospitality-related environment helpful but not required
