Job Description

Tricentis is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Release Manager, to support our product delivery and deployment initiatives. You will be part of the Release Management organization within Tricentis Engineering and work closely with all functional teams involved with producing our software products.

 

As Release Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling, planning, and controlling the development and delivery processes we use to release and deploy our software products to the cloud and on-premises.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Engineering, Operations, Security, and Compliance teams helping coordinate all product development and delivery efforts.
  • Overall, your primary focus will be on shipping high-quality releases on-time and on-budget. You will also help us improve and mature our delivery processes and the underlying tooling helping drive higher levels of efficiencies, cost savings and joy throughout our product development and delivery processes.

 

Your daily activities:

  • Help plan the release of project deliverables and within our release life cycles.
  • Communicate project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams.
  • Coordinate the release schedules and help identify resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
  • Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
  • Track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release.
  • Make sure that the release is planned, according to the requirements and budget.
  • Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
  • Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.
  • Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities.
  • Participate with all Go-Live activities to deploy our software successfully.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
  • Suggest improvements in the methodologies used for product delivery within Tricentis.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
  • Experience releasing on-premises and cloud-based software products.
  • Experience working with modern cloud technologies from AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Experience deploying modern container-based applications and their associated tooling including Docker, K8’s, Helm.
  • Working knowledge of modern CI/CD based product development and delivery pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Outstanding team management skills
  • Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, especially helping coordinate different functional teams.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to present to large groups.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytics skills.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to continuously prioritize in fast-paced environment

    We are under legal obligation in Austria to indicate the minimum salary, which is 43.316- EUR gross per year for this position according to the IT collective agreement. However, our attractive compensation packages follow current market salaries and can therefore be significantly above the indicated minimum salary.
