Job Description

The Principal Content Strategist leads and supports strategic planning to ensure ATPCO offers a complete set of attributes (content) that enable airlines to price and retail their products and drives the incubation of those initiatives internally and externally. The role sits on our Content Strategy team within the Strategy Division and works alongside our Corporate Strategy, Partnerships/Standards, Tools, and Distribution Strategy teams.  

Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Management 
    • Execute internal and external engagements to evolve or scale existing ATPCO content 
    • Lead hands-on explorations of new content, including when we should build vs. enable vs. partner   
    • Plan and develop communications about content strategy to external audiences  
    • Assist with facilitating strategic discussions and collecting strategic input from across the company, and promote alignment and execution of content strategy across divisions, in particular Commercial and Product 
    • Support engagements across our other strategic functions (corporate, tools, distribution) as needed 
  • Strategy Research & Analysis 
    • Research and analyze emerging industry and marketplace trends and internal data, and support synthesis of key insights (quantitative and qualitative) 
    • Based on the company’s long-term goals, conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities and/or areas of weakness to be addressed 
    • Support development of strategies that increase industry value, promote company growth, and/or mitigate risks  

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience 
  • Airline industry experience or background required (familiarity with airline pricing content preferred) 
  • Excellent research, problem-solving and analytical skills, with impeccable analytical and business judgment 
  • Ability to lead and execute projects in an agile, highly interactive fashion 
  • Ability to lead conversations at senior levels and independently drive high profile initiatives 
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills 
  • Competency to lead, manage, mentor and develop talent within the Strategy team
