Media Strategist Job Description:
We are looking to hire a Media Strategist with excellent organizational and project management skills. The Media Strategist must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The Media Strategist is responsible for owning the development and implementation of Out of Home media proposals and works in close conjunction with the Account Executive, Media & Operations teams, Accounting, and Vendor Suppliers. They will plan proposal development & implementation activities and tasks and see that they are completed on schedule and on budget.
To ensure success the Media Strategist demonstrate keen interest in anticipating and avoiding hurdles and developing and implementing cost efficiencies and time saving tactics. Top candidates will be critical thinkers who are continuously looking to improve.
Media Strategist Job Responsibilities:
· Media Proposal Development: Research, interface and negotiate with vendors to develop Out of Home media proposals
· Create plan and logistical elements for deployment of contracted OOH media plans
· Production Management: collect details for and establish timelines for the client delivery of artwork for media campaigns
· Project Communication: Communicate with all parties on the implementation of media campaigns
· Database Management: Update agency CRM platform with project and client updates.
· Research: location and develop new vendor relationship for OOH media options. Update and maintain key sales materials.
· Bachelors degree in communications/media or related (essential).
· 3 years of work experience as a media Strategist or similar – Experience with Trade Shows or Pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
· Experience with Microsoft Office particularly Excel & Powerpoint. Experience with a CRM platform and Microsoft Sharepoint is a plus
· Contribute to & create proposals in conjunction with Account Executive
· Request & evaluate vendor media proposals and assist with developing recommendations
· Negotiate with vendors for favorable rates and added value
· Work closely with media and production vendors to confirm specifications for artwork development, and share with client
· Maintaining flow of information on production related tasks
· Communicate often and early on all needed project items to both internal and external stakeholders
· Escalate to the appropriate internal team members any significant issues
· Work closely with production vendors to keep programs on track & production costs under budget
· Have effective communication and problem-solving skills to find quick & favorable solutions to any issues that arise.
· Approving invoices for accounting
· Updating client & project data in CRM software
· Coordinate & create Proof of Performance reports for every campaign in a timely fashion
· Participate in company meetings and activities in order to build strong internal relationships
· Support planning and execution of internal company events and activities
· Other duties as assigned
