Job Description

·       To assist in the development of operational strategies and implementation processes to ensure contractual compliance and implementation relating to critical services associated with Vodafone fixed line sites covering M&E, General maintenance & Soft services

·       To have responsibility to ensure the SLA and KPI contract requirements a met within the local area technical sites and completed on time

·       To ensure operational implementation of procedures in line with Mitie and the clients resilience models

·       Proactively promote an ownership culture at all levels

·       To ensure the operational administration standards are adhered to. To ensure the up flow of the submissions to the administration team and the clients are timely, accurate, and comprehensive

·       Be responsible for reviewing all RAMS and present to the client teams

·       Achieve a high standard and quality of planned and reactive works

  • Participation in a 24/7 on call rota

·       Work closely with supporting mobile engineers to ensure all plant is operational with >95% uptime.

·       Support other area engineers with ad hoc works as and when required

  • Monitoring comprehensively building management systems

 

Main duties

·       To carry out operations, maintenance and reactive events associated on the local area technical sites

·       To link very closely with the central administration team, Area Controller, Compliance Manager and be aware of projects with any potential effects on critical services relating to the technical estate.

·       To use the document management system to support the administration of the local technical estate.

  • Ensure the local technical estate is fully statutory compliant.

·       To ensure the site Critical Spares are in stock, managed, rotated as necessary and record to ensure stock levels are correct accurate.

·       Escorting and management of subcontractors.

·       Ensure all sub contractors are effectively managed associated with a critical environment.

·       Responsible for all persons on site conducting their business in a safe manner following H&S best practice.

Responsible for monitoring site the close out of actions following site audits and inspections

·       Maintain cleanliness across allocated plant to high standard

·       Ensure concerns and queries are resolved or escalated to line management promptly

·       To understand and comply with all company policies and procedures

·       To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures, To pro-actively demonstrate and adhere to the Company’s values of People, Passion, Fresh Thinking and Exciting Futures

 

Qualifications

 

  • Hold a relevant technical qualification with minimum Level 3 Electrical or equivalent
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of critical engineering systems and understands the full range of M & E equipment in a modern critical environment.
  • Qualified in electrical discipline with a comprehensive understanding or critical installations, including DC electrical systems, Ideally apprentice trained with City & Guilds qualifications.
  • Desiable - Have a good understanding of mechanical and cooling systems.
  • Professional and strategic approach to management of works and projects.
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of Health & safety.
  • Strong Technical Skills.

Desiable - Have High Voltage experience with appointed person experience.

Additional Information

Health and Safety responsibilities
• Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
• Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
• Report any issues or training needs to your  Line manager and /or  via your divisional incident reporting system;
