Software Engineer in Test

About the project

The client is is Europe’s leading consumer electronics retailer and provider of related services. Our integrated online and fixed-location offerings reach millions of customers every day .

Currently, there are 8 teams (over 70 colleagues) working in this project portfolio, covering various roles: Software Developer, Business Analyst, UI/UX designer, Quality Assurance Engineers, Product Owner, Data Scientist, Commissioning, Scrum Master, Project Manager.

The project name is OnlineShop and its main role is to ensure the right quality of the Online Shop, for 2 brands, deployed in multiple countries.

Your team

Your teams consists of 4 Testers and a Test Manager. The development life cycle is organized using an iteration-based Agile with 2 weeks sprints.

Your role

• Create and define integration tests and UI tests
• Design test scenarios
• Perform complex system tests
• Ensure compliance of quality processes and standards
• Influence the inclusion of testability during design and development phases
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks using the most relevant tools and approaches for different projects

• Relevant experience in testing web-based and mobile applications
• Knowledge of any test automation frameworks
• Good knowledge of databases
• Experienced with source control
• Able to troubleshoot, debug and find solutions to problems

• Detail-oriented & creative thinking skills
