Senior Product Designer, Retail

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Consumer design team to help enable Wolt to reach new heights and expand into new verticals beyond restaurant food delivery. You will work with the Retail Consumer team, building new products, tools and systems to fit the needs of our retail consumers and merchants alike. Our core business has been strongly focused on the restaurant industry, and we’ve recently started leveraging our amazing tech and courier partners to deliver just about anything to your door. 

We are obsessed with details and usability, and so should you! In this role, you'll get to work with some of the best in the industry while focusing on designing the retail consumer experience with millions of users, some of which you could even categorize as fans. 💙This is truly a role where your influence will show to our huge customer base (9,5 Million and growing), and affect their everyday lives. You will be working across multiple platforms (web and mobile). As a Product Designer, you're expected to produce production quality UI designs, while you spend a part of your time participating in the UX work. 

Our iOS application currently enjoys a 4.8 App Store rating, while Android is at 4.7, and we are quite insistent in keeping that up so extreme attention to detail and flawless execution is needed. We are well known for great design, so these are no small shoes you'll be stepping into! You’re not afraid to break the rules and make something unique to push the boundaries.

You will work with a multidisciplinary product management, design, data, and engineering team to deliver thoughtful and polished design work that is world-class. You will be part of our Consumer design team, and will collaborate with your design peers to ensure that retail is designed with our holistic consumer experience in mind. You’ll also be working with our Retail design team that focuses on the merchant experience of Retail.

The team is based in Helsinki HQ but welcomes the new member to the Helsinki HQ, Berlin office, or working entirely remotely in Finland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden or Estonia now and in the future! 🌍

• You have strong expertise in mobile UI design for consumer-facing digital products. We also expect you to have familiarity with designing for the web.

• You have eye for detail and vision for world-class interfaces

• You have excellent collaboration skills. You have experience of working together creatively with other designers, and cross-disciplinarily with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and copywriters

• You are eager to learn, and have a track record for being self-driven

• You have experience working with design systems, with ability to work creatively, building your own components outside of the design system when the experience calls for it

• You are fantastic at communicating your thinking and design decisions – you’re able to get the multiple stakeholders whose attention your work will receive along on the journey with you.

• You have prior experience, or are interested to work with Figma. You're comfortable using Figma for communicating feature specifications to designers, developers and other stakeholders
