Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance (Land Systems) the role is to provide administration support to the Quality Assurance department and the embedded Manufacturing Quality Teams.

The role of Quality Co-ordinator is to support the quality teams to maintain configuration control, regulatory and management systems compliance, and support business continuous improvement activities.

It is a varied role which includes the following:

  • Management of external equipment calibration equipment and calibration system.
  • Control and purchasing of Standards used across the company.
  • Create and manage project drawing registers issued to the Manufacturing departments.
  • Maintain company business management system using Microsoft Word and Visio packages.
  • Maintain departmental process performance data and indicators.
  • Provide consistent, accurate management information to aid senior stakeholders' decision making.
  • Maintain company archives.
  • Filing and archiving of product and process documentation.
  • Administration support of company non-conformance reporting systems.
  • Collating and Filing of Supplier documentation (ie :- Certificates of Conformity).
  • Taking minutes of departmental meetings, assisting with the closure of any actions raised.
  • Manage arrangement for external audits.
  • Assist with the completion of customer questionnaires.
  • Maintain Quality notice boards.
  • Collate and manage improvement ideas, log and assign them to appropriate functions.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, principally Word, Excel and Visio
  • Organised and able to work on own initiative.
  • Ideally worked within a manufacturing environment with processes certified to ISO9001.
  • Need to have excellent organisational, time management and multi-tasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • An interest in continuous improvement, and a creative approach to identifying better ways of doing things.

Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
