Position summary
As Regional People Delivery Lead, you’ll help design, continuously improve and deliver globally aligned and locally compliant “people infrastructure” projects around policy development, data, systems and documentation enhancements, ensuring alignment with the global people strategy and EVP, best practice and delivery of business objectives more generally.
You will lead the Regional People team and oversee delivery around Employee Relations, people change and projects across in-region/in-country teams. You’ll ensure our regional people data set (HRIS) is accurate, holistic and complete at all times. Given our matrix structure, you will also work with our Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Reward and Engagement teams, whilst ensuring quality outputs, productivity and efficiencies across the team.
What you will do
Key Accountabilities and Performance Metrics:
Team Management
· Coach, guide and upskill Regional People team to ensure service aligns with our global and regional op model, acting as an escalation point when necessary
· Ensure that HR colleagues are kept abreast of Xplor-related information and business issues, driving alignment with business needs in the team’s activities
· Allocate work and projects across the team, building inherent capability whilst ensuring delivery is maintained, on time and of the required quality
· Undertake regular performance conversations with team members, identifying development needs and working on development plans to address
Drive efficiencies and business-aligned People delivery
· Ensure consistent employee experience through the development and deployment of robust, effective and business-aligned People processes
· Ensure processes and reporting are effective, aligned with business needs, meet global and local requirements and conform to best practice more generally
· Ensure data quality is maintained in all people systems, establishing/refining set reporting and information flows across the business
· Ensure team use the HR tools available to them to drive efficiencies, including, but limited to, automation and the adoption and embedding of relevant technologies
· Work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency within the regional team, driving value by ensuring activities and communications are aligned with business needs
Project Management
· Lead and implement HR projects in conjunction with the Project Owner (e.g. Global People Delivery, HRD) together with the development of associated procedures, guidelines and documentation to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of our organisation.
· Support change management initiatives through proactive and business-aligned allocation across the team
People Delivery and Implementation
· Lead on design and implementation of regional people processes and process improvement where required, establishing people frameworks and approaches designed to deliver to local and global requirements
· Design and implement company policies, procedures and documentation, aligning with Xplor philosophies, culture and values
· Monitor key HR metrics and lead on follow-up activities to address/resolve
· Act as a trusted advisor and coach to the Senior Leadership team, and their direct reports in-country, in relation to employee relations matters etc.
· Support/lead on required collective consultations and TUPE related processes in the UK and Europe in respect of the integration of acquired companies, integration, alignment of policies and benefits etc.
· Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes, implementing change where legislation or company evolution dictates
· Act as point of contact for global and local management queries/requests for information etc.
Requirements
· Evidence of having operated successfully in a similar role
· Proven experience of building and leading successful people teams across the UK & European region. Of particular importance is experience of having operated in a growing and ever-evolving environment
· Proven generalist and/or project management experience across the UK and preferably Europe, with demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and its application
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills – credibility with stakeholders both inside and outside the People team
· Proactive, team player with a strong service and delivery ethos and exceptional problem-solving skills
· Experienced in developing and supporting line managers and People team members through change
· An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy
· Demonstrates Xplor’s behaviors (positive, progressive, supportive, confident, clear)
· Must be willing to conduct occasional travel within region
