Job Description

  • Ensure appropriate governance to maintain solution baseline throughout the delivery life cycle
  • Provide implementation and consultancy to install, build and configure all system elements from software to hardware.
  • Provide post delivery support and technical training to internal and external staff.
  • Maintain implementation documentation to allow third parties to deploy software to the in-house standard
  • Maintain accurate quality records of customer project work, sufficient to allow seamless handovers
  • Manage problems through to resolution escalating proactively and formally as necessary
  • Maintain effective working relationships with customer and NEC colleagues
  • Manage the customer so that customer understands their responsibilities within the project and ensuring that the customers fulfill their responsibilities
  • Manage directly the technical issues of assigned projects by interfacing with the technical personnel employed by the end user, the Main Contractor, suppliers, sub-contractors; within targeted quality bounds and to targeted timescales
  • Manage acceptance of the system or phase to ensure there is no dispute over the acceptance

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years biometrics based identification, investigation and intelligence solutions experiance 
  • Experience of implementing/delivering complex biometrics projects both on premises and in the cloud.
  • Experience with different biometric modalities including Face, Fingerprint, Iris is required.
  • Experience of implementing and supporting solutions with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, IIS, SQL, .NET,
  • Experience of implementing and supporting Unix-based systems including Ubuntu, RHEL
  • Experience with containerised technologies including Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with various database technologies including SQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, Postgres - able to do some DBA
  • Experience with message queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ
  • Experience of both on premises and Cloud deployments (Azure preferred)
  • Familiarity with modern APIs a benefit, e.g. REST, WebServices and tools such as Postman, Swagger Experience with Video Analytics technologies and solutions
  • Security clearance would be a huge advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, working with minimal direction but promoting an open flow of information so that all concerned are well informed;
  • Effective relationships builder, developing working relationships with clients and individuals in other business units;
  • Working knowledge of the project life-cycle, structured methodologies, and delivering projects on time to budget;
  • Organizes time effectively, determining the right resources needed to effectively perform job assignments;
  • Technically proficient working with and installing Biometrics software Strong and professional attitude to working with third party suppliers
  • Open minded to technical and commercial opportunities
  • Strong decision-making skills;
  • Sales and commercially aware;
  • Microsoft Office.
