After almost a decade with us our Backend Developer is taking on a new challenge. We're left with a new challenge of our own, to find someone who can step in and replace the work he did supporting our TMT, ADX and digital team. Working closely with these Agile development teams as well as with our operations support group, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the stability and performance of our applications serving travel agents, tour operators and suppliers around the globe and contribute to security and recovery planning.
We're looking for someone who can ensure the rollout of new products run smoothly by confirming data flow, data management and performance parameters are optimized. They'll be responsible for helping to keep the development teams from getting too "creative" and ensuring applications work in practical terms. One of the key objectives of this role is to develop and maintain API integrations, server-side logic, and databases, ensuring high responsiveness and performance for front-end requirements.
As a shared resource we’re looking for a collaborative team player and who can balance the workload of jumping into a variety of technology decisions and architecture challenges on different projects and keep an eye on how they might impact each other and future development. You will work as part of a group that is known for going out of their way to help each other solve problems across functional and organizational lines.
