The Makers Lab Studio, sister company to the community, is seeking a motivated, versatile and detail-oriented Senior Post Producer. We are looking for someone with the talent and the personality to integrate quickly and seamlessly with our post team; someone who enjoys creatively working and collaborating directly with clients. This role will begin working remote from the comfort of your own home (in the US) and can remain remote within the US or end up in our Miami production studio for a hybrid work environment when the world returns to normal (or some version of it).
The ideal candidate should be an expert with the standard post production workflow for broadcast advertising and needs to be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes high-pressured environment. You will be managing projects from beginning-to-end in our multi-room/multi-function post production studio.
Familiarity with any/all of the following crafts including: Creative Offline Editorial, Audio Production, Motion Graphics/VFX, Color and Finishing. (Experience with a wide range of Post Production projects and Creative Editorial styles a plus).
In addition, some intermediate/advanced level experience and an adept skill set for quickly learning a new production management and/or bookkeeping software is a must (such as ActualizeIt).
The Senior Post Producer needs to have knowledge or experience using industry standard post software such as: Adobe Premiere, AVID, Final Cut, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya, Pro Tools, Resolve, etc. or hands on session experience coordinating post artists who use these tools every day.
Responsibilities:
Lead post production projects from the Producer stand point.
Assist with managing availability and scheduling of all staff and equipment.
Scheduling internal meetings.
Tracking operator expenses and petty cash requirements for jobs.
Tracking operator overtime.
Processing operator invoices and payments.
Lead Estimates, bidding, billing, and scheduling for all your projects.
Own broadcast commercial spot projects and see through delivery.
Oversee a variety of production including, digital, social and broadcast post production.
Collaborate with Post Manager to ensure strict Workflow conventions are adhered to, while preparing assets for current projects.
Liaising with the Post Manager to ensure consistently effective management.
Issue & confirm operators are completing session sheets daily.
Liaising with IT/tech support with a consistent follow through process to ensure that our facility is running on all cylinders: gear and operator issues must be communicated, actioned and resolved.
Assist with the managing, mentoring and training of junior team members.
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience as a producer in a creative agency or production environment focused in advertising content (digital, production, broadcast, post).
Understanding of the post production process & digital workflows including VFX, editing & grading.
Extensive experience working with estimates and bids.
The candidate must be self-motivated and extremely organized, with a strong attention to detail.
Experience in broadcast productions and the fast pace in which they produce.
Strong leadership skills within the Post Production world.
Experience staffing and managing freelance talent on projects.
