Role and responsibilities

The Stereo VR Compositor reports to the Head of Post-Production and will work on ISS Experience, the greatest project filmed in space so far.

• Adjust alignment, modulate depth and balance colour in a stereoscopic composite
• Prepare and adjust elements, either by extracting or rotoscoping
• Stitch and blend live-action images
• Adjust and improve depth and convergence
• Seamlessly integrate live action, miniature and CGI elements
• Colour correct and grade
• Create graphic elements for stereoscopic 360
• Follow production methodologies and develop creative approaches to problem-solving.

Required competencies

• Minimum of 3 years in the VFX industry
• Fluency in French or English language, both in written and verbal form
• Advanced level skills in stereoscopic compositing is an absolute must
• Critical eye for detail and colour precision
• Work experience on high profile stereoscopic productions
• Good work experience with Nuke
• Experience working from native 3D footage is a strong asset
• Experience in 2D to 3D conversion is a strong asset
• A knowledge of and interest in photography and practical lighting is helpful
