Job Description

As a Senior ESG Manager you will be responsible for managing the company's overall Environmental, Social and Governance program.  Working closely with the Sustainability Council, business unit finance and sustainability leaders, and the company’s investor relationship team, you will map out and execute a strategy to manage and improve (where necessary) the organization's management of material topics.  This role will require you to work across different businesses, which have different market and sustainability drivers.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Developing and aligning ESG ambitions and strategy with the company’s Sustainability Council, investor relations and senior leadership teams to ensure all key material topics are properly addressed.

  • Establishing a clear, prioritized activity roadmap that successfully delivers the company’s ambitions, including changes in policies and/or processes, alignment with external benchmarks, and proactive engagement with rating agencies.

  • Coordinating regular ESG-related activities across the organization (e.g. ESG website, ESG download, annual integrated report, CDP reporting , etc.)

  • Partnering with ESG reporting office to ensure systematic and accurate collection and reporting of key KPIs, and to proactively identify new KPIs required to meet ESG requirements.

  • Engaging with the broader ESG community to build partnerships and share best practices.

  • Working across the businesses to inform and educate, and ensuring that key stakeholders understand the role that they (or their teams) play in ESG.

  • Assisting in developing appropriate external communications regarding the company’s ESG strategy and progress.

  • Managing external resources to provide subject-matter expertise, where necessary.

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • B.S. in the sciences, engineering our sustainability

  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability, EHS or corporate compliance and governance.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with multiple stakeholders to successfully execute action plans..

  • Ability to influence at senior levels across the organization

  • Strong problem-solving skills with high levels of motivation, initiative and energy. 

  • Effective written and oral communications.

  • Excellent computer skills, with working knowledge of firmware and software strongly preferred.
