Archibus Application Specialist

Absolute Facility Solutions, LLC, (AFS) is a progressive consulting firm that works with clients to manage the entire lifecycle of their real estate and infrastructure assets.  We utilize web-based Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Building Information Models (BIM) and AutoCAD to connect facilities information with organizations' operational, human resource, and financial data.

AFS has an immediate opening for a U.S. based Archibus Application Specialist, which is 100% remote. Under direction of management will implement and maintain data integrity in IWMS solutions utilized by AFS’s client base while supporting the review, analysis and evaluation of business systems and user needs. Document requirements define scope and objectives and formulate processes to parallel overall business strategies.

This position will be responsible for the analysis, development, implementation and support of our clients’ IWMS.  The Specialist will work closely with the project team throughout implementation of IWMS software packages to define requirements, assist with data collection and normalization efforts, support design integration solutions and develop documentation to satisfy business and technical needs. 

Application Specialist are expected to work directly with project team and project managers while managing their own time and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze client data related to space, assets, maintenance, real estate and environmental
• Normalize maintain and report on data
• Determine appropriate location in Archibus system for data import
• Write SQL DB queries to insert and update data using advanced SQL query language
• Test data per requirements outlined in project scope
• Troubleshoot configuration
• Build and customize basic view in xml language and Java
• Work with internal project team to define requirements and design integration solutions to meet customer needs
• Troubleshoot issues in reports related to data and investigate data issues in source systems
• Other tasks as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree in data science or related fields and 3+ years of experience in the use of data integration, analysis and reporting tools; or 8+ years of experience in related fields. Knowledge of Space and Asset data required. SQL Query Language experience is a must.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to interpret data, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.  Proficient in data analysis techniques.

Preference

• Experience deploying cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Familiarity with GIT and/or other source control tools
• Understanding of J2EE Architecture (Apache, Tomcat, etc.) and deployment procedures
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
