We’re a guest-focused and product-led team within Cineplex, responsible for a seamless customer experience via our digital platforms. We have an immediate need for a Solutions Architect to join our team, reporting to our Principal Architect.  You will act as the lead architect supporting dedicated squads in delivering value in market for our guests, keeping software architecture best practices top of mind. 

What Is the Role:

• Design Azure cloud-based solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements including performance, reliability, security, compliance and more 

• Ensure next-generation cloud solutions are compatible with legacy Cineplex systems and infrastructure where required, and work with the Architecture and Product teams to define a roadmap to safely migrate away from these legacy systems   

• Develop internal Azure based prototypes and assets for internal educational purposes and to reduce project risk and delivery times   

• Collaborate with the product delivery teams (through daily stand-ups, design reviews, code reviews, developer jams, and working sessions) to ensure solutions adhere to Cineplex architecture principles and presenting to the Cineplex Digital Review Board   

• Explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience – from Developers to Senior Leadership   

• Coach and guide the product delivery team members to address architectural considerations appropriate to the solution   

• Estimation of technology initiatives for delivery and budgeting purposes   

• Collaborate with the Architecture team to define standards and guidance and support adherence to the standards including appropriate exceptions   

What You Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent 

• Certification(s) in relevant cloud technologies  

• Certification(s) in Microsoft Azure technologies 

• 7 years hands on experience architecting, developing, deploying, and monitoring mission-critical enterprise applications.  

• 5 years experience designing, architecting, deploying, monitoring cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS)  

• 3 years experience with the Azure Cloud Platform architecting, deploying and operating production systems on Azure 

• 3 years experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional agile team. 

What You Offer:

• Proven ability to work directly with non-technical team members and business stakeholders across all levels of the organization to thoroughly understand product requirements and constraints and develop solution architectures which fulfill these objectives 

• Proficient creating architecture documentation including logical architecture diagrams, deployment architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, process flow diagrams, class diagrams, etc. and experience to know when they are required  

• Expertise developing enterprise applications with Microsoft .Net / C# backends and modern frontend technologies (such as HTML5, React, Next.js, Angular, etc.)  

• Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional agile team  

• The candidate must have hands on working knowledge of key Azure principles and technologies: 

• Cloud Native Development and Serverless Computing (Web apps, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Application Gateway) 

• Observability (Application Insights, Log Analytics, Kusto) 

• DevOps (CI/CD, ARM templates) 

• Data (SQL, Cosmos Db, EventHub, Stream Analytics) 

• Microservices and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes) 

• Networking (VNETs, VPN Gateway, NSG) 

• Security (Subscription management, Azure Policies, RBAC)  

• The candidate must have experience implementing compliance and regulatory controls relevant for a large enterprise
