Group Leader is responsible for the import of Bosch’s automotive finished products into the North American market and for logistics operations in customer planning and communication. The group leader within customer planning is the coordination and escalation lead in the daily operations and management. Furthermore, the group leader is the specialist in systems setup and needs to train the associates in SAP system setup and handling.
-Lead the Customer Planning team
o Disciplinary responsibility over associates
o Setting annual targets and goal performance dialogs with associates
o Associate performance evaluation and coaching for continuous performance improvement
o Talent management: recruiting, talent review and assessment
o Design and creation of associate development and training plans as well as execute regular associate performance follow-up and review meetings
o Compensation planning
o Coordination of projects within GS/OSD65-NA with SystemCIP and PointCIP methodology
§ Inventory management
§ EDI setup for customers
§ Process standardization and improvement
§ Lean Six Sigma project management
o Training associates in logistical handling of engineering changes and revision level changes
- Oversee customer planning and logistics:
o Ensure standard work procedures for customer planning are followed and customer planning is compliant with Bosch central directives
o Coordination of local work procedures creation, its establishment and ensuring ongoing compliance
o Coordination and lead of escalation activities; supplier and customer side
o Responsible for the daily management of planning functions within
- Lead the business development reporting which fall under logistics responsibility (inventory report, special freight costs analysis, inventory PDCA)
- Reporting activities – monthly business report (MBR), current forecast process (CF), target business plan (TBP) creation
- Willingness to travel
- College/university degree in supply chain management, logistics engineering, industrial engineering or other supply chain management related majors
- Experience in logistics within automotive industry for minimum 3 years, preferred 5 years
- Deep understanding of logistics in NAFTA area, (e.g. customs and brokerage regulations, transit times, expediting in NAFTA region)
- Specialist in EDI setups of automotive customers, focus European and NA market:
o Experience NAFTA customer EDI setups and ordering behavior
o Correct usage of Bosch ERP systems against the 830/862/850
o Countermeasures and corrective actions outbound ASN.
o Management customer specific systems
o RAN/Kanban processing in SAP (
- Major experience in SAP ERP systems, focus SAP PA5 (APO) and SAP POE, forecasting methodologies under Bosch mobility systems standards
- Knowledge of SAP APO customers planning strategies and schedule agreement handling, incl. quota arrangement setups, shipment mode handling and forecast consumption setups
- Specialist for forecasting within automotive electronics and sensor business
- Expert and trainer for associates in logistical handling of engineering changes and revision level changes
- Responsible for the state-of-the-art ordering parameters in SAP to align the efforts to improve customer coverage and inventory levels in the company’s warehouses.
