Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, implement, and test frameworks, libraries, tools ,API’s, and services;
• Participate in requirement, design, planning, and retrospective meetings as an integral part of a project team;
• Contribute to automated testing to prevent bugs from entering the developed solution;
• Perform technical demo and knowledge sharing sessions with customer;
• Work with geographically distributed international teams on technical challenges and process improvements;
• Contribute to Mirantis knowledge base;
• Continuously improve tooling and technologies set;
• Participate in issues troubleshooting and investigation on different environments.

• Strong experience in Golang and / or Python
• Debugging: Particularly multi-process, orchestrated, distributed systems
• Understanding of container networking concepts and technologies, the deeper the better
• Experience with databases including one or more of SQL (e.g. Postgres), NoSQL (e.g. Redis);
• Knowledge of the use of containerization (Docker-based containerization preferred);
• Development experience in a Linux or other Unix-like environment;
• Familiarity with some (not necessarily all) topics such as:
  • Git, GitHub
  • Kubernetes
  • Cloud-native technologies and methodologies
  • Remote working / working in a distributed multi-national team
  • Automated testing/Test driven development 
  • Agile
  • English language on an intermediate level or above.
