Job Description

Join a team of learning design and development experts to create, maintain and manage learning content for Ucademy and its clients.

·         Work with SMEs to understand varying learner needs, identify learning outcomes and apply learning design methodology.

·         Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that achieve learning outcomes.

·         Write and edit clear, high quality content.

·         Visualise instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished solution.

·         Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.

·         Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.

·         Manage the creation of supporting material.

·         In collaboration with SMEs and learning experts, decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop appropriate assessment instruments.

·         Manage delivery timelines, liaise with SMEs, clients and team members to ensure deadlines are met.

·         Maintain clear communication between all parties involved in the creation of learning solutions.

·         Maintain project documentation.

·         Create new interactive and innovative learning solutions for new and existing learning solutions delivered through/by Ucademy.

·         Convert existing materials (variety of formats) into high quality, innovative learning materials which includes a range of deliverables.

·         Strengthen and enhance resources within existing programmes.

·         Maintain efficient file sharing/updating/archival processes.

·         Work with the team in the planning, design, development and testing of new technologies for the delivery of e-learning materials.

·         Carry out any other duties that Ucademy may require from time to time and which are consistent with the post and grade.

Qualifications

·         Matric or equivalent degree

·         Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology

·         Excellent knowledge of learning theories, assessment theories and instructional design models

·         Proven experience in designing, writing, assessing and creating high quality learning materials

·         Proven ability to edit and proof read learning materials

·         The ability to understand, edit and apply instructional design and learning assessment principles to all types of material including subjects that may be outside your field of expertise

·         Experience of managing/organising projects, meeting required standards and deadlines

Additional Information

SKILLS

·         In depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models

·         Lesson and curriculum planning skills

·         Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

·         Good working knowledge of e-learning software tool (Articulate Storyline 360), as well as learning management software such as Moodle

·         Competence in using Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

·         Effective interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work in a highly organised and logical manner, working as part of a team and on own initiative
