You’ll work directly with the founders to shape the foundations of a promising startup, and eventually lead large parts of engineering at Motion. As one of Motion’s earliest employees, you can be involved with other aspects of startups that may interest you, including: generating product ideas, talking to users, growth hacking, experimentation, marketing.

About the role

Ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience for a technical product, bonus if SaaS productivity experience
  • Clear written and verbal communicator
  • Strong problem solver, quick learner, can keep up with rapidly evolving product
  • Empathetic to users, cares about understanding their underlying problems rather than just what they ask for
  • Work remotely from anywhere in the US, preference for Eastern timezone

Responsibilities:

  • Help customers via email and occasionally video chat, troubleshoot problems, answer questions
  • Write documentation to help users help themselves (FAQ, knowledge base, product updates, etc)
  • Synthesize top customer pain points and requests to product team and help assess priority
  • Relay bugs to engineering teams and help assess urgency

Our frontend is written in React. Our backend is NodeJS on Google Cloud Platform. Engineering problems we're solving: automatic scheduling & time management algorithms, managing high web hook traffic, building features on top of 3rd party calendar APIs
