Job Description

The Mandiant Security Validation team is seeking an experienced software engineer to join us.  We deliver a cross-platform software agent that is capable of network, endpoint, email, and cloud actions for emulating cyber attacker behavior, as part of a product used by our customers to assess and improve their security effectiveness.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement new product capabilities that enhance its ability to test security controls against realistic threats
  • Improve the security of the product through a secure software development lifecycle process
  • Investigate and resolve issues to ensure customers’ success with the product in a spectrum of environments

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Python
  • Strong knowledge of system-level programming and troubleshooting on Windows, Mac, and/or Linux
  • Solid understanding of major Internet protocols
  • Experience with enterprise software product development
  • Caring about code quality and doing things right
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Interest in and awareness of contemporary cybersecurity activity
  • Skilled in the automation of build, deployment, and test processes
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Familiarity with the Libvirt/KVM/QEMU virtualization stack

Minimum Salary: $140,000. Final salary will be determined commensurately with cost of living, experience level, and/or any other legally permissible considerations. 

Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for annual bonus subject to individual and company performance; eligibility for award of Restricted Stock Units subject to eligibility requirements, approval from Mandiant’s Compensation Committee, and vesting terms
